Why skaters like it

Beginners get linked this when asking how to pick up a board while rolling, how to step off like Nyjah, or how to catch a board without bending down.

“… you can pop it higher and add rotation once you’re good for a more steezy catch and u can do it at pretty much any speed”

Sure! go to 1:00 [VIDEO], looks kinda lame when this guy does it but you can pop it higher and add rotation once you’re good for a more steezy catch and u can do it at pretty much any speed

Not popping the board [VIDEO]. Practice popping the board while not standing on it like your popping it into your hand to pick it up. [VIDEO] The tail of the board needs to hit the ground hard enough to send the board flying off the ground.

Some of my favorite ways to stop are the foot sliding flat on ground, just jumping off while i make sure my board doesn't go in a bad direction (usually trying to stop the board in place while i jump off to run out the speed), or my favorite that take a bit of practice to do but, if u put ur front foot like about halfway on the nose and half on the bolts or flat part, trying to keep ur weight on ur heel so u dont just nose dive instantly, then u take u back foot put it on the ground and push down on nose and try to catch it behind you. God i suck at this lemme find a link to a video that can show u lmao. (@1:00 ish the Nose Pick Up [VIDEO]) but u can do it at decent speed when u get pretty good at it and it doesn't wear down anything but maybe ur nose a tiny bit. Hope dis helps, i find it fun to do

I think this video has that in there. It’s basically an Ollie. [VIDEO]
