Short from Braille Skateboarding showing a beginner landing a first kickflip, built around a drill where the back foot comes off intentionally so the flick and catch become muscle memory.

Your flick foot goes straight to the ground. This is one of the best videos I've seen to help with that. One thing not mentioned, that I noticed, is your front arm is swinging out behind you. Bring it in and throw it up in a forward motion instead of behind you, when you jump. [VIDEO] Keep it up you've got this!

Look @0:14 your back foot is on the ground when the board gets level , it needs to be above the board to catch it, in other words get that back knee up. Also the rotation of the flip looks a little slow. This short illustrates your problem. [VIDEO]
