Braille Skateboarding explains why some skaters land kickflips easily and others struggle. Aaron Kyro covers flick direction and foot motion, and shows a common mistake next to the fix.

Why skaters like it

Beginners post it in r/NewSkaters threads about kickflip trouble and commitment. It breaks down the flick and shows a wrong way next to the right way.

yes you shouldnt have to move your foot back to the top, the board should be under both your feet and you above while its flipping. it really just has to do with the way you flick your board this is video shows the way someone is doing it wrong and how to properly do it at the same time, make sure you look at the way they are flicking their boards and where their feet are in mid air while the board is flipping [VIDEO

When you say extend, do you mean you concentrate on putting your front foot in front of the board? Like this guy here: [VIDEO] or the Lizard King [VIDEO] I was watching Aaron Kyro do his kickflips, and he doesn't really extend it all the way out, contrary to what he says. [VIDEO]

I would add that [VIDEO] is also an excellent kickflip video that breaks things down and presents it clearly without any extra chatter. Also, here's a video from Braille discussing why some people land kickflips easily and some don't: [VIDEO]
