SKATEiQ: [this video] But I would say, start by hippy jumping from the board to the curb, letting your board hit the curb and stop. Jump straight up and land with your feet straight under your shoulders (you'll have to run out the bail, do not put your legs forwards to absorb the forward momentum or this whole thing is a waste of time!). Notice how long it takes for your body to clear the curb + one board length. This is how long you need to be in the air in your ollie. You must not kick the board forwards! You must keep the board underneath you. If you are using the "pop and slide" method of ollieing, you are going to be kicking the board forwards and this is dangerous, so start your ollie journey again properly. After you have the hippy jump, get the nose onto the curb, hang up and bail out -- make sure you are jumping FIRST before picking up the nose. Bail out over the nose, don't lean back and absorb the hit! Now get the nose higher and higher -- you will need to pick your front foot up and back quickly to allow the board to rise without it getting away. Then pull the nose forwards under you. Pretend the curb is twice as high as it is, pulling the nose up onto this imaginary curb. O…
