Some skate tools have a die to repair that very thing. I believe its a 5/16 die. They can also be obtained at most any hardware store. Check out this [VIDEO] vid. It should help.

You can get a threader at a hardware/auto parts store, take the truck with you so you get the right size there relatively inexpensive. You can also get the reflex skate tool it has a threader on it. This video shows the process, [VIDEO]
