Rat Vision tests two brands selling so-called titanium bearings and trucks and shows the materials do not match their marketing. Covers titanium, aluminum and steel axles, plus how to spot false advertising.
Why skaters like it
Linked in setup help threads when someone asks about titanium trucks or Theeve, as proof that some brands lie about materials.
“Theeve also lies about the material structure of their trucks, so I usually steer clear of them.”

For starters, you're losing money because of the way skatewarehouse sets up its shopping cart. Start on the deck's webpage and select "Build Custom" under where it says "Purchase Complete", then pick the parts from the subsequent menus. Puts a nifty discount into place. Secondly the setup itself: I've heard good and bad things about Theeve, but I don't like their business practices. They have a history of false adver
Theeve is terrible, don't buy their stuff, imo. They lie about the materials and quality of their trucks: [VIDEO] The others you mentioned are fine, but only Krux, Industrial, Royal, Silver, and Ace make exactly 8.25" axle trucks, and of those I only really trust Krux. This is more personal opinion, so of course I recommend people try them and make their own decisions :) I run the equivalent of an 8" (Independent 139
Krux don't have the best build quality and theeve actually lies about what their trucks are made out of [VIDEO]. If you want the lightest trucks you can get Tensor maglite lows are currently the lightest trucks on the market. The hangars and base are made out of a magnesium alloy ( lighter than titanium) and they have hollow kingpins and axles. Also good are indy stage 11 hollows. They're lighter than standard indys
Don't buy theeve trucks. [VIDEO]
I'm referring to this video [VIDEO] that was very popular earlier this month. Not sure what trucks you were comparing CSX to but they're definitely not light. The weights are listed on theeve's page: 366g for a 129, just as heavy as the cheapest gravity cast independent truck. (weights of a few other 129s can be seen here [VIDEO] )
