They way they are designed the kingpin is pressed in which is why they are hard to remove but people have been replacing them for as long as I can remember, either way you are not really losing anything since the truck is useless unless you replace the kingpin. Check out this [video] ([VIDEO]) and [this] ([VIDEO]) they might make you feel more confident about doing it. Good luck.
