Short tutorial from Lachlan Breheny on removing bearings from a skateboard wheel without tools, using the truck axle to pry them out. Runs about 2:40 and was his first tutorial, uploaded in 2017.

Why skaters like it

Gets linked in r/NewSkaters whenever someone has stuck bearings and no skate tool. Quick, clear, and uses only the truck axle.

“put the axel into the bearing, but not all the way on. just the tip lmao. then pry it off almost like a bottle cap? super easy when u get it just right”

No offence to skaters but they aren't the smartest dudes in the world and yet most skaters have no problem changing bearings. I think you're seriously overestimating the difficulty level of changing bearings. It's super easy, barely an inconvenience. [VIDEO] If this guy can show you how to do it in 2:39 then you definitely don't need someone else to do it for you. TBH, that video probably could have been 30 seconds l

A skate tool is about $10, but you don't have a wrench in the whole house?? Get yourself a wrench and a screwdriver at least. Even if you buy new wheels you'll still need bearings and you'll have to install them. Also your wheels are perfect, you just need new bearings. I recommend CCS or Spitfire Cheap shots which are both $10. [VIDEO]

probably just needs a good twist. use the axle, put only one bearing (one side of the wheel) on the axle, and twist. [VIDEO] (i dont like doing this as I feel like it will damage the axle threads but it seems to work)

I dont know about any solvents since that could damage bearings but here is a tutorial. At 01:05 [VIDEO]
