That is a sick griptape job. Blind is one of the oldest skateboard companies and good for beginners and anyone really. Wheels a tad bit on the bigger side which may cause wheel bite, but as you ride them they’ll shrink and are already a lil worn in. Honestly as long as it’s not too skinny to ride for your feet and the bearings spin, you’re set and good board to learn on. If anything just clean bearings and lube em. H

[VIDEO] [VIDEO] Here's a couple of tutorials. Cleanin them up a little bit should help I'm not sure what the weather is like for the terrain but if you got some sand or something in them they wont spin as well. If it's a brand new complete and this has been an issue since you had it they might just be a smidge too tight you can just loosen it a hair and see if that helps

Buy some isopropyl alcohol (highest % you can find, at least get 91%, will only be a couple bucks) at CVS and swish your bearings around in it without the shields on. Let them dry completely. Ideally you’d wanna put some sort of lube on there after. I bought a bottle of Bones speed cream at a skate shop for $8. This video goes over everything pretty well: [VIDEO]

ya- water (and probably grit) in your wheel bearings is bad news but totally fixable [VIDEO].

I don't really clean my wheels, I pretty much always ride city streets and the dust doesn't really make a difference. Skatepark riders may clean their wheels though since the ground tends to be a lot smoother. For bearings you remove the covers, put them in a bowl with some isopropyl alcohol and shake em around, give them a minute or 2 to dry, then apply lube to the bearings (NOT WD-40), and replace covers. You know what, I think i'm wrong. I've only ever cleaned Reds that don't have the pressed on metal shields. If you have pressed on metal shields I don't think they're supposed to come off. My bad. I was just rewatching this video : [VIDEO]
