jumping forward may help, but I don't think you should get used to that. If you watch this video [VIDEO] there is not movement forward or backward. Just don't want a bad habit to form. That jumping forward habit I can see being bad when you start trying the shuv-it moving

I don't know if you've seen this already, but braille skateboarding has a ton of tips. This [VIDEO] is their pope shove it tutorial. Hopefully this can help in addition to any tips this sub gives you.

The shuvit is all in the back foot so it's easy to focus on developing the proper technique. The way I learned was to keep my front foot off the skateboard, flat and still on the ground, and only use my backfoot to figure out what it should *feel* like. If you watch this video [VIDEO] starting at the 4:05 mark, you'll see how you can progress from this little practice step up through doing the trick with both feet. O

Just started landing them yesterday - Braille vids help a ton: [VIDEO] If you're landing primo, it's your front foot not staying in place. Front foot is key - you want it to barely move during the trick (only jump a teenie bit). Front foot stays still to prevent the board going primo. Make sure you're jumping using your front foot, so put almost all your weight on it and pretend your back foot is just there to perfor

I was confused with what I was supposed to do with my back foot, it sounds dumb but I just couldn’t get my head around it But the way you explained is super simple and easy, so thanks :) Edit: holy shit I can do a pop shuvit, thank you so fucking much. I’d give you an award but I got no money, sorry ( if it matters I watched these vids, probably doesn’t any more tho) [VIDEO] [VIDEO] [VIDEO]
