Skating isn't easy, that's why it is so beautiful. When you land a trick that you've been trying for months it feels sooo nice. Just keep working on it, ask for tips if you don't know what is wrong with your ollies and try to record yourself in slow mo while trying an ollie so you can understand easily what you're missing. What is helping me with ollies is to place my front foot closer to my back foot so I have more

I can't get a good look at that front foot in the video, but it looks like you're not really sliding it at all. This is further evidenced by your board not leveling out. No one's back foot sticks to their board when they ollie, the motion of the front foot pulls the board into the air and levels it out, pulling the tail up to the back foot. The slow mo and description in this video I think really explains the physics

Why the downvotes, am I wrong? It's been my experience and I was told that the front foot sliding more along the board lifts the rest of the board more (as long as timing is right obv.)- makes sense. Here's a vid talking about it at 1:40 [VIDEO]

Looked at this for a while and I think another thing you need to look at is your foot placement. Your pop could use some work but your front food is sliding like it should and you are getting off the ground. However if you want to ollie higher you should try moving your front foot closer to the middle of the board. The reason for this is so your front foot can slide more and level out your board higher in the air Thi

You have to jump. Don't leave your hands by your sides. As you go down to prepare for the pop, bring your arms down like a gorilla, and then when you jump, use them to get more energy by imitating an eagle. I am not fucking with you. Watch this video from the point I linked to the end: [VIDEO]

As in your front foot - let the board come up and curl your ankle so you can drag the outside part of your shoe up. This helped [VIDEO]

Lower you center of gravity (bend your knees) and bring your arms together like in this vid ([VIDEO]).
