Landyachtz promo for Tugboat, a cruiser with a wide deck, kicktail and soft 63mm Fatty Hawgs wheels. Troy Grenier rides it in a 59 second clip from 2016.

Why skaters like it

Named in beginner threads as a stable, compact cruiser for a first board or commuting. Fatty Hawgs get praised for smooth riding on rough asphalt.

“… They are fast, stable and small enough to stow.”

Average skateboard length [LINK] is around 32", some are a little shorter / longer but it's by fractions of an inch. The cruiser decks [LINK] are slightly shorter but vary a bit in size, around 24" all the way up to 32" and longer. If you want to just get a pre-fabricated complete cruiser, I've heard good things about the Landyachtz Dinghy / Tugboat [LINK]. They do official videos [VIDEO] for advertising [VIDEO] if you want to see them in action... You could also build your own complete with the cruiser decks I linked above, or go to your local skateshop [LINK] if you are lucky enough to have one.

Fatty hawgs. Hands down. 63mm. 78a. They’re a dream to ride. I’ve got a set on my new full size cruiser that spent all summer on my mini cruiser. [LINK] I tried 56mm bones ATFs but no bueno. Not soft enough not big enough. Felt great on like ashphalt but stopped dead on every stick and pebble and piece of mulch. The fattys just blast over that stuff as long as you’ve got a decent amount of speed going. Landyachtz puts fattys on their cruisers and mini cruisers. Like so. [VIDEO] And [VIDEO] And [VIDEO]

You should look into the Landyachtz Dinghy [VIDEO], Tugboat [VIDEO] or Cobra Blaster [VIDEO]. I have the first two but have yet to try a CB and the Dinghy is the smallest of the 3 but still very reliable. They are fast, stable and small enough to stow.
