Chris Haslam breaks down his Almost double impact complete in the Alli Sports white room. He covers his Independent trucks, Bones bushings, Gypsy griptape and other parts of his setup.

Why skaters like it

Gets linked in gear threads about truck weight and bushing choices, as an example of a pro running standard Independents and Bones mediums.

“… FYI bones mediums in Independent and Venture trucks has become pretty much standard equipment it's not something I'm just making up. …”

Chris Haslam [VIDEO] skates regular Indy's. **EDIT:** Damn he chose to leave Almost and Globe sponsors on his instagram in April, don't know whats up with that. Maybe he is going to endorse one of his friends companies again, he already rides custom hardware / grip. I think the weight difference is negligible, and if you are a bigger person / have stronger legs, you might prefer having a little weight to your setup vs. having it so light that it flicks easily. The light weight / easier flick makes a small change in force more significant, where with a setup that has a slight amount of weight, you can feel the board better. Some prefer that precision of a lightweight setup, while others like a little weight. The difference is a couple ounces. Check out this thread [LINK] from Middle-Age-Shred. Once you find a truck / equipment you like, stick with it.
