“there are powerslides and reverts you basically slide the 180 instead of pivoting you keep all your wheels on the ground and slide half way around till you are going fakie …”

Yes or you could do it fakie as well that might be easier. Check out this video it explains it pretty well [VIDEO]
It's called a Revert [VIDEO]
Ricta clouds seem to be the go to for softer wheels. If you are just learning and wont be doing reverts and such, 86a or 92a would be good options. 86a will be better for cruising, 92a will be better for tricks, but both will be much, much better at rolling over rough roads than "trick" wheels. Also when people are talking about trick wheels, they really mean that harder wheels roll better on very smooth surfaces compared to soft wheels, and also will allow you to slide out of tricks easier. Say you are attempting a 180, but you only get 90 degrees of rotation before landing. You can actually land at 90, and slide the board the rest of the way to complete the trick. Example Here [VIDEO]
there are powerslides and reverts you basically slide the 180 instead of pivoting you keep all your wheels on the ground and slide half way around till you are going fakie then do it the other way so you are skating regular again , a power slide is like going 90 and holding it and sliding , so I'd look up reverts on youtube and find a not so steep incline and practice going all the way down a long but mellow hill [VIDEO]
Found a good tutorial. [VIDEO] I'll practice that, sounds so fun
Your problem is that when you land in Switch stance your weight needs to swap over as well, else your 180s will stop. Few tips: - Move your head and shoulders to the other side right before you pop. Your hips will autocorrect and your foot should naturally kick. - Don't forget to ollie fully. Slide your front foot up. It'll feel weird, but this is extremely important to do, because if you don't, your weight won't swap. - When you get to the landing, your front foot should now be on the bend, so you can finish the turn on the landing. Your former front foot should now be where your back foot on the other side was. - Learn this while rolling. This is one of the few tricks where you will learn the best while moving. - Practicethis trick [VIDEO]. It helps you get the gist of how you should be turning. The rest is just doing an ollie into it.
Revert [VIDEO] how-to video. Basically a sliding 180 where the board stays on the ground. Powerslides are fun too.
