Sure but this will sound a little weird and you'll probably feel weird doing it. Find a patch of grass with a small hill doesn't need to be huge ... just a bit of an incline. and practice your falls / rolls. It's a taekwondo video however it very clearly explains how to fall without getting hurt, this same technique applies directly to skateboarding but you'll use this in a billion different positions: [VIDEO] Now with skateboarding it's not going to be this controlled, you will fall in every possible manner you can think of, and about a 1000 other ways you never even considered, but this will get into your muscle memory how to fall regardless. Here's another skateboarding specific video that will explain it in greater detail - [VIDEO]

to get over that i’d say get safety gear and also learn how to fall, a good roll will distribute the energy and you’ll take less damage [VIDEO] this video helped me when i was starting out, because i can’t even lie to you, you’re gonna fall a lot especially in the beginning 😅, just important to remember that once you land that trick it’s all worth it

Hell yea this is what it's about! Your commitment is great, the only tip I really have besides a how to fall tutorial is bend at the knees a little bit more, the bend you got going in your hips is great but yeah definitely bend more at the knees. Here's the how to fall tutorial I re-watch every summer: [VIDEO]

I don’t have a way with words that I could convey or explain that to you without being in person but there’s plenty of videos like this [VIDEO] that could help.

I've seen a bunch of pros slam (there's videos on youtube of just slams), and they always use their arms/hands. Like what do you do when your back trucks get hung up, like in this video [LINK]? If that guy hadn't used his hands, the whole impact would have been on his shoulder and face/head. Again, these body parts don't absorb an impact like your arm can by bending. And that type of fall is really common. Whether it's not clearing a gap, falling on a handrail, etc. Edit: found this video [VIDEO]which clearly shows how to use your arms/hands to absorb the impact and roll off. It makes no sense not to use your arms.
