I'm almost 30, my advice would be learn how to fall. Don't reach out to catch yourself and roll out of most stuff. Bones only get more brittle, so falling properly is key. A quick google of "How to fall while skateboarding" found [VIDEO] Also braille is a good resource.

Check this out [VIDEO]. Falling correctly is important. And skate within your ability, don't try stuff you aren't yet comfortable with. You'll take a few scrapes and bruises but if you follow those guidelines you shouldn't get too fucked up. The more you bail / fall the better you get at it, and eventually it becomes a natural reflex to break your fall correctly.

It sounds funny, but practice falling into the grass to get a feel for it. Also, give this video [VIDEO] a watch when you have the time! Stay safe and have fun out there!
