whythetrick uses 3D models and physics to explain how pop affects a kickflip. The creator argues that popping as high as possible makes the board fly away and ruins the flick.

Why skaters like it

Posted in r/NewSkaters whenever someone's board flies out in front or won't rotate fully. Commenters say it fixed overpopping that a bad flick seemed to cause.

“kickflip is very picky about the ratio between pop power and flick power.”

Check this out [VIDEO] this channel is much more thorough, the guy uses 3d models and physics models to show the stuff Youve got to sort of throw it into your front foot in a way that you can give it a little cut in the trajetory with the front foot. Its all in the jumping motion. It seems to me youre close, but you tried flicking too late and not setting up the flick right, flick earlier so you can use the momentum
