How to drop in safely and practice tips. [VIDEO] One of the best videos I have found explaining everything you need to know about dropping in and even good basic flat ground practice, and bank practice before going onto ramps. One of the better tips for me, is if you have trouble with how you should lean or what to do, reach for your nose as you’re dropping in. That is the motion and how you should be leaning forward

Really commit to it. only way iv seen people fall dropping in is when they dont commit to it and fall backwards. iv never seen anyone get hurt leaning to much forward, yet. Stomp that board down and really lean in to the ramp. never hesitate and lean back, thats when you'll get hurt. this video might help: [VIDEO]

Dropping in is one of the biggest mental struggles a skater has - baby steps are fine. I found these very helpful - [VIDEO] [VIDEO] Skate On!

The other thing it looks like you're doing is keeping your legs straight after you drop in, so naturally your upper body is going to swing to the rear and chuck you off. Make sure you are bending your legs after you stomp and "press" through the transition, if that makes sense. This video helped me a lot [VIDEO]

Your front foot is angled. To quote JB from Skatepark Lessons on YouTube [VIDEO], "heels and toes matching." Don't angle that front foot. Keep it the same angle as your back foot with your toes lined up. The short ramps are quick so you pump fast on the way down.

you maybe need to slow down, you don’t have to hurt yourself badly every time to learn to drop in. practice the dropping in motion on a small bank obstacle first - like this: [VIDEO]
