Go-to link in r/NewSkaters when someone fears dropping in. Teaches shifting weight over the front foot instead of stomping the tail.

“Stomping is terrible advice. Please don’t stomp. You actually just need to shift your balance to your front foot. Dropping in should be smooth.”

Stomping is terrible advice. Please don’t stomp. You actually just need to shift your balance to your front foot. Dropping in should be smooth. When you stomp you can actually get wobbly and fall even more. Just start small like a small bank or something. Watch this video on dropping in, Mitchie explains it perfectly (as always). [VIDEO]

Well done for riding that one out! You must be stoked! Dropping in is one of those super scary things that takes a lot to learn. But once you get it, it becomes second nature. If you haven’t checked out this channel before it is amazing for learning anything skateboarding related: [VIDEO]

Commitment helps but you've done it before and know how to bail? Then you should be good. Watching this SkateIQ video and seeing how Mitchie does it helped me go at it again and improve. Now I'm thinking about higher drops and pool coping. [VIDEO]

Mitchie Brusco has many videos on dropping in correctly. And it isn’t just commit or slam it down. It the pro way of dropping in with speed. [VIDEO] That said there was a British YouTuber that learned to drop in on vert by doing a 50-50 first then learned from the tail. Also just curious which way your 50-50 was since I was confused about your terminology. You said you can drop in from a BS 50 stall. Which is your ba

Have you watched this video? SkateIQ master dropping in [VIDEO] It helped me a lot. Especially the advice about keeping even pressure on both your feet throughout the drop in and feeling the tail lift you up as you put pressure on your front foot. The drop in motion can 100% be perfected on a small curb or ledge. I mastered it that way, then went to banks, then the tiniest QP I could find.

Yikes that's a scary fall To improve you want to be drop more down instead of forward, you can get away with some bad technique on the smaller ramps but you are on the big boy ramps now I highly recommend Skate IQ's video on this: [VIDEO]
