Braille Skateboarding reviews Shark Wheels, the wavy wheels with a square-style profile, and gives a verdict on how they ride. They test the soft longboard version and mention a street version.
Why skaters like it
Linked when newer skaters ask what wavy wheels are, or how to deal with pebbles and rough streets.

I have a similar situation and kept getting rekt by pebbles. I ended up buying shark wheels which helped a ton. I have really gotten into setting up my board for multiple use cases. An admittedly fairly expensive solution but I'm thinking about picking up quick trucks to have a crusier/rough terrain pair and a park hard wheel set. Traditional soft wheels help as well.
