Ben Degros sets up 54 mm SML 92a cruiser wheels, runs slide tests and skates around on them. Little trick footage, since soft wheels limit what you can do.

Why skaters like it

Linked in NewSkaters threads about durometer and soft wheels for rough roads. Commenters call it a decent review from someone who actually skated 92a.

“92a will offer the smooth ride and still have some slide.”

I don't think either is better, just depends on what kind of skating you want to do. Both are great soft wheels. If cruising is your priority and you still want to be able to do flip tricks and what not then I think the 87a OJ's would be more fun for you! But if you wanna be more serious about flip tricks and go to skateparks often then a slightly harder wheel may be more suitable. Edit: Check out Ben Degros' video [

92a will offer the smooth ride and still have some slide. Ignore the other guy who thinks a softer wheel will cement your board to the ground or bounce you off during a landing. Edit: a decent review of wheels of this hardness by someone who actually has skated them. [VIDEO]
