Why skaters like it

Posted as the reference clip when skaters argue whether a trick is a hardflip or a frontside pop shove-it.

“Herman's wheels both clearly spin behind him, OPs wheels spin in front of him.”

This isn't really an opinion, it's just factually wrong. [VIDEO]

this is a hardflip [VIDEO] watch those slo-mos and come back to this clip. Herman’s wheels both clearly spin behind him, OPs wheels spin in front of him. To say I don’t know what I’m talking about is wild considering I’ve been doing this my entire life and have a friend who does this same thing when he tries hardflips and he knows it’s a regular shuv done funky.

I see your confusion. You slow it down and it looks like maybe the board goes upside down but then right side up. But that’s just how they look. I was obsessed with the trick. For reference, look at these: [VIDEO]

Trust me bro my hardflips were done like this and required zero front foot flicking. I simply put my back foot in treflip position and pretty much just push my back foot outwards. My front foot was just a guide and I don’t really recall flicking, just moving it out the way. Which is where the disconnect comes from. Compared to these hardflips, [VIDEO] , some people think they should be more horizontal.
