Have a look at Justin Lauria's latest YouTube video [VIDEO]. He's got some great tips on there about foot placement, how to bring your knees up and in what order. All in under 8 minutes 😊
It doesn’t look you’re compressing your body / legs even a little. Try this progression: [VIDEO]
exactly!! get more comfortable with the board, go for a cruise or do hippie jumps, they are great!! but if you must, start practicing while the board is still(on grass/carpet or with the wheels in a crack etc) once you get consistent with it while still then try while rolling or on normal ground, also don’t beat yourself for it, skateboarding requires a lot of patience and determination, so keep at it and best of luc
[VIDEO] This tutorial helped me loads, it breaks down some of the steps really really well. Also want to say that even though your progress with Ollie’s isn’t where you want to be, your determination is something you should be immensely proud of. Not many people can say they put this much effort in doing something they love. Really admire that!
these aren’t the generic “pop slide jump” ollie tutorials, these guys put it in way better words and explained different ways you can think about doing it. also if you’re gonna watch these please take the time to sit down, play it in a tv, sit and listen through the whole videos then practice Video 1 [VIDEO] Video 2 [VIDEO]
youre not jumping with the board and youre throwing your weight around. this is one of my current favorite videos to break it down [VIDEO]
Take advice from the first half of this video: [VIDEO] and add it to the advice in this video [VIDEO] The big realization for me was noticing that its a jump, dropping and launching from both feet with even pressure. Then followed by a pop and a slide. Make sure you know what feet placement is supposed to be, watch the vids.
I used this video by Never Stop Improving [VIDEO] and it worked for me fairly well You should also not move your leg that pops up the skateboard, just pop the board with it, dont move it
