a pivot is when you get up on the coping and balance just on the truck for a second. A slash grind is a very small grind. Sometimes your slash grinds could look like a pivot. If you see a super stalled pivot, you know what it is compared to a slash grind. Pivots: [VIDEO] slash grinds starting at 0:20 [VIDEO]

When the front truck is getting close to the coping. Watch where tony lifts it in this vid [VIDEO] It may be easier if you learn pivots [VIDEO] first. That feels just like a kick turn but you delay it so the truck hits the coping as you turn.
