RIDE Channel Trick-a-Day tutorial from 2012 where Sean Conover breaks down the half cab, a fakie backside 180, step by step in about three minutes.

Why skaters like it

Linked in threads where skaters argue what counts as a half cab and when newer skaters ask how to learn the trick.

“Get your body rotating first then pop that tail a bit and bring your hips around to catch up with your body.”

You shouldn't be trying to answer this if you don't know the most basic things about skateboarding. Youtube is full of idiots who incorrectly name their tricks. You just linked to one of those idiots and made yourself look like an idiot too. This is a real fakie backside 180 aka: half-cab [VIDEO]. From Tony Hawk's channel not some idiot.

Arron kyro is an awesome guy but he has a lot of misinformation in his videos. Fakie tricks work the same as nollie. Only when you get into grinds does is get confusing. If your back faces where you came from, it's frontside, if it's your face, it's backside. >It's kind of confusing for beginners! Not a beginner :) Been skating for five years and I'm an instructor, been teaching kids how to skate since last november.
