Super scary, that's a trick I'll probably never come close to trying. With OP's dolphin flip, his board spins in the bs shuv direction. With a real dolphin flip, the board should go completely end over end [VIDEO], which is even scarier.

Can you Ollie North? Learn that one first if not. Also practice by popping, flicking and catching with your front foot while you plant your back foot on the ground to avoid any danger until you're willing to go for it. VLSkate's video [VIDEO] on them helped me to think about it more properly and actually start landing them.
