It's going to be hard to hear, but you don't almost have kickflips down. You're flipping the board by dropping your front foot to the ground, instead of the correct technique of flicking your foot out and beyond the nose towards your heel side. You can't land kickflips this way, if your foot ever drops below the board, its over. You need to unlearn the way you are flipping the board in this video, and start practicing correct technique. This video by Braille skateboarding breaks down the correct approach, and will give you a plan to practice. [VIDEO] This VL Skate video and David Lehto's tutorial are also a very good resources. I'm not an expert but I think you should lean forward, I mean in the first attempt you lean backward and you kick the board away from you, than when you started doing it while rolling you did it well except you didn't flick hard enough hence you landed it trucks facing the sky. But you got this dude [VIDEO] best tutorial I can recommend you to watch.

Move your foot more to the heel edge of the board. You are flicking at the center of the nose, which means that the board doesn't really rotate, and the board flies into outer space. Also check out this vid... it will help a lot: [VIDEO]

I would add that [VIDEO] is also an excellent kickflip video that breaks things down and presents it clearly without any extra chatter. Also, here's a video from Braille discussing why some people land kickflips easily and some don't: [VIDEO]

DON’T GIVE UP. I know exactly how you’re feeling. Look at this video [VIDEO] and try to get to each milestone before putting it all together. Even Tony Hawk said that the kickflip was the hardest trick to learn
