RIDE Channel slow motion clip of Shuriken Shannon landing an inward heelflip, shot on a Red camera in 2014. Short high speed look at how the board spins and flips.

Why skaters like it

Linked in NewSkaters threads to show what an inward heelflip looks like and to help tell it apart from a varial heelflip or a half-flipping heelflip.

“The trick you're describing is actually an inward heeflip [VIDEO]. A varial heelflip is a fs shove it + heelflip.”

I'm having a hard time with heelflips too (I can land on the board but they only flip halfway). But from what I can see it looks like your foot is almost doing an inward heelflip motion like in this [VIDEO] video. Maybe try flicking more toward the nose than off the side?
