It's literally just balancing i can not think of doing anything wrong. it's just pretty hard and takes time to get to the point where you're actually balancing instead of just lifting up and instantly setting down or tailscraping. There might be some tricks that make it a little easier. [VIDEO] most of this vid will probably go over your head and has way too advanced information but there are definitely a lot of thin

check out my other comment below about how to center your chin over your back trucks when you land. when you pop into the manual, aim to just *barely* pop high enough to get onto the pad. if you pop too high, then there's too much force on the land so it can cause your balance to get all wonky trying to recorrect. andddd if you pop too low, you'll clip. manuals are a delicate art form. also watch this video [VIDEO].

The same way you press your ankle down to ollie, you wanna kinda do that with your back foot while also just lifting your front foot, and have your front foot ankle be loose to help you balance. Dan Corrigan’s manual master class [VIDEO] has great tips

If you have a flat smooth surface, I found stationary manuals to be more challenging, but more useful. I do those when nothing else is available Dan Corrigan has a great video on manuals: [VIDEO]
