Adam Shomsky's Skateology breakdown of the impossible, shot at 1,000 fps with a Redlake N3 camera. Chris Sorini and Nate Patrick do the tricks from several angles.

Why skaters like it

Linked in beginner threads when someone asks where the front foot goes or how the board wraps on an impossible. Multiple angles show what the feet do.

“Adam Shomsky always has an excellent variation of angles in his shots so you can see exactly what to do with your front foot.”

It's actually the most difficult axis to rotate the board around. You HAVE to walk the board around with your foot because the rotation is too chaotic without direct control. This is an 'impossible' with a similar concept [VIDEO] Here's a video that explains the rotation [VIDEO] Good job OP! That's such a sick trick

Thanks and thanks. Unless my children ask me to play... there won't be any rope-jumping for this old boy. There may be a few tricks landed with a footplant that I haven't yet without one, though. I don't care to do an impossible flip, but a front footplant would make it a "difficult flip". [VIDEO]

Watch this video, Adam Shomsky always has an excellent variation of angles in his shots so you can see exactly what to do with your front foot. [VIDEO]

Pretty smart of your mom! Okay, so based on your drawing (nicely done, btw) what the board does is similar to a trick called an Impossible [VIDEO] Doing it from the position you are starting in isn’t really a named trick, but it is a really cool way to stylishly get on your board! Especially if you do it casually and skate off like it’s no big deal. If you are interested in some old school history, you can check out

Just stand on your front foot and practice making the board do a backflip around your pop foot. Make adjustments until you can do that reliably and with your back foot landing towards the tail. Then practice standing on your board. Impossibles are easier than hardflips honestly [VIDEO]

I've already showed you a slow motion video of Rodney doing one where the board actually flips and is rotated by the foot not spins in a circle on its side. Here's another [VIDEO] And another [VIDEO] I'll even give you a shitty one thats still better than OP [VIDEO]

Aah I'm pretty sure you mix this trick with the normal Impossible. Here's that one: [VIDEO] but if you look at mine and this one side by side, you'll see that mine spins more frontside/forward. While the other one goes backside/backwards. I'll look up that video!

Yeah idk those are most like hospitals , a real impossible should go more vertical at least on the flip more vertical impossible [VIDEO]
