Why skaters like it

Linked in beginner threads when someone can't get tre flip rotation. Skaters point to the back foot scoop and ankle motion in the slow motion clips.

“Watch this for help on the tre flip: [VIDEO] Notice how after he pops his back leg and his foot goes way back, basically kicking behind you and then after he catches the board with his front foot”

Alright I'll do my best, if you don't already know how to kickflip and pop shove it consistently I strongly advise you to learn these first. With that out of the way, you should place your back foot on the tail, toes hanging, ready to scoop hard. For the front foot I see a lot of people learning with their foot way too far back, imagine a line in the middle of your board (between nose and tail not between toe and hee

Yeah bruv. Look at your shoulders. They turn as you scoop. Stop that. When you pop the scoop is supposed to be emphasized with a little ankle nudge forward, that’s how to get 360 flips to stay under you and not have to travel so far forward. Watch this and notice the back ankle on the pop. [VIDEO]

Ideally, post a video of yourself landing a 360 shuv and trying a 360 flip so that we could give better advice. But without seeing any video: Unless you are doing a 360 shove/impossible (ie the scooped version), 360 shove and 360 flip a quite different tricks. For 360 flip, you don't want to be centered above the board when you scoop. Ideally, you want to be heavily leaning over your toes to the point when you are al
