Braille Skateboarding's Lance walks through getting comfortable on transition for the first time, part of the Skate Support how-to series. Covers balance and basic riding on a ramp from 2014.

Why skaters like it

Beginners get pointed here when they ask how to ride a ramp. Comments call it step one of a series that continues with the next steps.

In its simplest form "ramps" take balance and balls. You need to be able to balance on your board and have the balls to try the ramp once you get in there you will probily fall about 10 times but after that its simple. This video should help a lot, there are others by the same person with the next step, this is step one. [VIDEO]

A tip that helped me was look the direction you are going. Funny thing is day after getting comfortable with fakie I tried a revert for 2 hours and hit it no problem every time now. This is even before i could do i 180 kick turn. Also bighest thing about going up and down a ramp is you have to lean with the ramp. This video helped me understand this. Oh ya might as well learn how to pump tooXD [VIDEO]
