I skate mostly bowl and transition. Helmet and good large knee pads(not shitty walmart ones). Being able to bail and slide onto you knees in a bowl is a godsend and will keep you shredding. Also eventually if you get and addiction, like me, you'll want to go faster and faster which means high speeds, so just in case something goes wrong you'll want a helmet. There's a few guys at my park that skate with nothing doing street and then put on their helmet and knee pads in the bowl. Learning to pump and carve those corners will give you lots of speed and let you feel the flow. You have a massive bowl their so you have almost an infinite amount of options and lines for pumping. Also make sure you have loose trucks for carving. Let me know if you have any questions man I'm happy to help. How to skate bowls: [VIDEO] How to knee slide: [VIDEO]

* 1. What are some tricks to learn and or tutorials to learn from? Fundamentally you want to get really good at pumping in both regular and fakie plus carving both front-side and back-side. When you start feeling comfortable in the bowl you can start adding tail-stalls, carve-grinds, rock-to-fakie's and other lip-tricks. Nowadays you can find all the info you need and then some on Youtube. Omar Hassan has a good series on skating bowls [VIDEO] and big bowls [VIDEO]. I also found Tony Hawk's trip tricks for vert skating really helpful. Search around, there's a ton of great stuff. * 2. How to ollie from flat onto a ramp /bank? ~~You start by just riding off the ramp and onto the bank. Keep doing this going higher and higher up the ramp. When you start reaching the coping you add a little pop, but the motion stays the same for the most part.~~ I think I fucked this up. You want to ollie from the the top of a transition down into it? That's pretty ballzy. First you need to learn how to acid drop / ride into a transition. Then it's basically the same thing, but you pop a small ollie just before crossing the coping and lean into the ramp / bank as you would if you where just riding into …

yeah been working on the angle, i think i just need more speed which is pretty scary when you dont know what you are doing :p. i subscribed to this channel on youtube [VIDEO]. Omar hassan is a little more detailed than the video you sent. Omar does say that you have to have loose enough trucks. I guess maybe if you have enough speed you dont need them looser.

Sorry yes, I mean to lean forward with the shape of the transition so your body goes horizontal a bit. Check out this clip on backside carves and take note of how this guy's body looks when he's carving really high up by the coping. [VIDEO]
