Why skaters like it

Linked in threads settling whether a fakie 180 is frontside or backside. Skaters point to Kyro naming it frontside, same as regular.

“frontside/backside is identical to regular for fakie, but reverses with nollies.”

True with Nollie but not for fakie. Fakie uses all the same motions and foot movements as regular except going backwards. So it’s almost the same trick as when you’re going forwards. So what would be backside nollie is frontside fakie. [VIDEO]

Actually, for fakie tricks they aren't reversed. This may not be enough proof, but here's Aaron Kyro doing the same trick and saying it's frontside: [VIDEO] I don't have a link to a full explanation of directions, but frontside/backside is identical to regular for fakie, but reverses with nollies. It's kind of confusing for beginners!
