These first two are some of the first skateboard films ever made. They're not *about* skateboard history, but they're actually part of it. Get really comfortable on your board and skate everywhere. Do not shy away from old school tricks if they help you get from point A to B so if you have to boneless or fast-plant to get up or down a curb before you can ollie it will help you to get comfortable with always stating on the move and not letting obstacles stop your momentum try to always be in the flow and have fun. Street skating as we know it today was invented on shaped, big wheeled boards with no nose... similar to what would be called a cruiser now. The little wheels and popsicle stick boards didn't show up until the 90s. Every skater should know about the guys who gave us street skating so take a minute to check these out and tell me if it's "possible" to ollie on a cruiser: Natas [VIDEO] Mike Vallely [VIDEO] [Tommy Guerre

[VIDEO] Mike Vallely public domain. In this video right about 4 minutes in he actually does the exact trick. So there ya go. I remember seeing it somewhere. His looks 100x cleaner as well and does not have the wicked weird foot positioning.
