Thrasher Classics entry on Jeremy Klein and Heath Kirchart's suited-up section from Birdhouse's 1998 video The End. Covers the botched ender with a wrecked van, ruined suits and a fire stunt.

Why skaters like it

Skaters bring it up whenever suits, stunts or the Bowie and Tom Petty song swap come up. Klein and Kirchart's section is a Birdhouse VHS-era favorite.

“The original video had Tom Pettys - "Don't Come Around Here No More" as the song for this part. I was wondering why it sounded different.”

I used to like doing that over a funbox driveway. (Like a flatbank ramp going up, along, then down the other side.) Planting my foot on the the flat top section of the ramp. If you ollie into it, plant the back foot, while grabbing the board with your rear hand in the middle/front of the board. That's a fastplant. See 4:35 here: [VIDEO] Or if you do it like you're doing it now, but on transition it's called a sweeper

Great part but this reminds me of the second half of this old video [VIDEO]

It was. The original video had Tom Pettys - "Don't Come Around Here No More" as the song for this part. I was wondering why it sounded different. [VIDEO] I think the Tom Petty song is more fitting of this part.
