I noticed she's kind of bouncing up and down the entire time, which you can really see when she's in the deep portion. Ideally she would be choosing specific spots to pump. Seems like she kinda gets the idea, but there's a lot of unnecessary pumping. How to pump through a bowl is explained well in this video by Ben Degros [VIDEO]. It's hard to tell exactly how much she understands about pumping, but a good first exercise might to be to have her start at the bottom of a 5-6 ft. mini ramp (no corners like a bowl) and see if she can work her way up to the coping with pumping. If she can do that, the next step is learning how to pump corners, which again is explained in that video above. Also, you might want to loosen her trucks since she's so light. Eliminating those little kickturns will help. To be clear, it's the kickturns when going around a bowl, like in the deep end, that you want to get rid of. The first kickturn she does after dropping in is obviously fine. Honestly she might not have the size, strength, and weight to really shred that bowl right now, but obviously she's doing great for her age. And she will figure this stuff out on her own and by watching others over time. Ed…

Transition Basics [VIDEO]. Start with learning to go up and back down in fakie, pumping, and then get the kickturns. Try dropping in once you feel comfortable on the transition, and work your way up from there. You'll want to be fairly confident with pushing / riding on flat before you attempt ramps, when you go to the skatepark is up to you. It depends how much you skate.
