Creature Skateboards sends David Gravette around town to abuse VX decks, which use 5-ply North American maple plus two layers of Quad X material. A company promo that doubles as a deck durability test.

Why skaters like it

Linked to heavier new skaters who keep snapping boards. Commenters point to it as proof Creature VX decks hold up to hard use.

“Go watch a Creature VX board video and see how hard they try to break one of those boards, they come in bigger sizes too.”

Get a Creature next time. I’m a big dude (6’1 230lbs) and I jump down shit all day and still haven’t broken one of their boards. Creature indestructible deck [VIDEO] *edit* That’s their specialty VX deck too I just ride their regular 7ply maple decks and they hold up amazingly. They single press their decks, makes them stronger.

Vx means it’s got 2 layers of carbon fiber, if you got the time a young David Gravette [VIDEO] can explain it better.

Go watch a Creature VX board video and see how hard they try to break one of those boards, they come in bigger sizes too. Here let me get you a link actually: [VIDEO] (ofc this video is from Creature, but trust me these decks are solid) .. I’d get a bigger size too like at least 8.5 so you can have more stability, and they make cruiser shapes.
