Skate IQ session led by Mitchie Brusco that runs about 37 minutes. It covers a warm up, tic tacs, speed control, switch, an ollie complex and shuvits as a follow-along practice routine.

Why skaters like it

Newer skaters point to it as a follow-along session for basic control and comfort on the board, and as a fresh take on committing to shuvits and bailing.

“I listen to this video through a pair of cheap wireless headphones every time i skate. Basic controls and adds in the main skills to build every session. …”

Get proper helmet, pads (including impact shorts), and any braces you need (ankle, knee). Then go practice bailing: runouts and falling. There are some good videos on YT covering this. Then just go do more, basic stuff. Here's a timely video from Mitchie Brusco: [VIDEO]

This commenter is right. The biggest problem is that his back foot is touching the ground on the pop. There should be big separation (like the back foot is in the air and not touching the board at all when the tail makes contact with the ground.) It helps to watch slo mo vids on YT to see this.
