Short tutorial from Skate Hacks on the ollie north, an ollie where your front foot reaches past the nose and comes back. Covers how to do it and combine it with other tricks.

Why skaters like it

Newer skaters pass it around as a drill for ollie and flip trick motion, and as a way to get over obstacles.

“If you learn how to ollie north you will be able to kick flip . It’s pretty much the same motion.”

Hey there! An "Ollie North" is when your front foot goes way beyond the board's nose, then comes back. There's some debate over whether an "Ollie South" is an actual trick, or if it's just a No-Handed Benihana. Either way, they can be pretty cool when done properly.
