RIDE Channel footage of Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Steve Alba and others skating a semi secret session at Lake Cunningham skatepark in San Jose in 2011. Mostly bowl and pool-style transition skating.
Why skaters like it
Posted as a reference for how vert skaters like Hawk and Caballero approach pool and park transition, and as an example of what a good transition park looks like.
“You can really see the transition/vert difference at :50 in this video. Tony Hawk skating a pool, followed by Steve Caballero. Hawk is a creature of vert, he can't help but do kick turns in a pool.”
