Just Keep Skating tutorial on slappy noseslides, covering how to approach a curb or box, kickturn into it and keep the slide going. Aimed at skaters working on their first noseslides.

Why skaters like it

Posted in r/NewSkaters whenever someone struggles with curb slappys or getting a noseslide to slide. Slappys are an easier way into the trick and help learn to push through.

“Getting into them is a lot easier, which helps you practice pushing through the slide.”

Yeah pretty much kickturning into it. I'd start about half a board length away from the curb, then lift your nose, kickturn into the curb and slam the nose back down all in one motion. You only need to turn in at about a 45 degree angle, then your board will square itself up as the trucks and wheels hit the curb underneath. Hope that helps! This Ben Degros video is a really good one that helped me: [VIDEO]

Have you ever tried a slappy noseslide? Looks like your box is the perfect height for it. Getting into them is a lot easier, which helps you practice pushing through the slide. Here’s a tutorial video: [VIDEO]
