PSA: Hillbombing is, belive it or not, one of the hardest and most dangerous things you can do on a skateboard. It feels amazing. I suggest you watch GX1000's latest video [VIDEO], these guys are from SF and they own hillbombing. All of the GX1000 videos are sick but this one [VIDEO] is one of my favorites. My all time favorite is one called El Camino, but they took it down for some reason.
I'm a skater who has made fun of longboarders before and I can probably explain. It's essentially a form of silly gatekeeping that makes skaters feel cooler than someone else, but I'll give some perspective on where it stems from. Skateboarding takes more work than longboarding does. It is going to take you a lot more work to become a good skateboarder that it would for you to become a good longboarder. Longboarding
