Believe it or not Kurt Lindgreen inventd a trick he called the Kickflip in the 1960s. Which was performed by putting one foot under the the board while riding and flipping it. Here’s a video of someone performing this trick in the 70s years before a flat ground Ollie: [VIDEO] By the the time Rodney had created the flat ground Ollie people were already doing this trick as a 180 and 360 variant. Here’s someone performing the 180 variant in 84: [VIDEO] I understand that this run was after Rodney invented Ollie but the the trick was invented prior, filming was just not common in the 70s and most film there was isnt on YouTube. Tail stop Finger flips were also very common in the 70s and flipping the board from rail stance (sometimes called primo) also predates the flat ground Ollie. Edit: second link is wrong meant to link this: [VIDEO]
