Masonite or “hard board” is what it’s called at some hardware stores. That’s what we used for this one we built years ago. [VIDEO]

Essentially, the build is the same. The only difference is you need to run your plywood and surface the same way as the 'step 3: surface' on the ramp plan page, or at a diagonal, like this video -[VIDEO] You should be able to add 1/3 for the 3/8 plywood (and masonite if you are adding it). You will also need 12' 2x4's rather than the 8' (this gets pricey). I would suggest looking into supporting and attaching the 2x4's , so like 2 6' sections with the extra wood used as bracing/support, but that all depends on cost of 8' vs 12'. To sum it up: Add 2 sheets of 3/8 plywood and 2 sheets of the masonite. Either replace the 45 2x4's with 12' long ones, or double the 2x4 count and use excess as supports/bracing. Oh and 12' long coping too. I will probably be building this exact size next spring or so.
