Your enthusiasm inspires me. I think you might like Gou Miyagi. He’s been around for a while but if you haven’t checked him out, it’s worth a look. He is not the most technical, but he is one of the most creative, whimsical, cool skaters I know. He probably inspired people like Ritchie Jackson. He also uses cloth instead of griptape, which is nuts. [VIDEO] His Instagram is also filled with cool and absurd stuff. Here’s a cute thing he did with his daughter: [LINK] Takahiro Morita is also an interesting skater. Like Miyagi, he isn’t the most technical, but he reminds me that above all, skating is all about having fun. [VIDEO] A cool artistic thing he did: [VIDEO] As for technical things, Fancy Lad is worth watching, especially Matt Tomasello. His stuff is amazing and will BLOW YOUR MIND. His nickname is “Rodney Mullen on bath salts” so you *know* it’s gonna be crazy. [VIDEO] Here’s a whole Fancy Lad video, it’s insane and absurd, but there’s some mind blowing gold in there too. [VIDEO] Enjoy!
Check out Almost's "Cheese and Crackers" (featuring Daewon) for some really creative mini ramp skating. You should probably also checkout Richie Jackson for some cool creative fun ideas. And I recently saw ([VIDEO]) which I found to be really interesting and gave me new ideas. edit: Also I'll add Patrick Melcher.
