Zion Wright demonstrates the fakie backside lipslide for The Berrics Trickipedia series, a trick naming reference from 2017. The 57 second clip shows the trick at the Berrics.

Why skaters like it

Skaters link it to settle arguments over how slides out of fakie are named, since the name follows the skater's stance and not the roll direction.

“… the slide is going to based on the skaters natural stance. …”

I think you'd call that a fakie front board. Fakie back lip is a little different, and kind of makes no sense logically, but the skate industry matches the name to the trick pretty consistently. Here's some examples: Berrics Trickipedia [VIDEO] Ride Channel Trick Tip [VIDEO] Jamie Foy on The Nine Club [VIDEO] Thrasher Cover [LINK] I got a bit lost in the sauce last summer and made a video [VIDEO] on why it is named this and how it doesn't really make sense

Dude, the berrics trickpedia section doesn't even have a fakie lip page. You talking about this one? This is a fakie back lip, and-just like i said-the back truck goes over the bar. [VIDEO]

But the slide is going to based on the skaters natural stance. So if you picture the 80s and someone does a bs tail on a half pipe then rolls up fakie and does the same slide just by pressing the tail on the coping (not knowing skateboarding as we do today) it’s still a bs trail just with a fakie roll up. Here’s a video of a fakie back lip for reference [VIDEO] Edit. I got some clarification on why it’s called like this in street skating. It stems from the 90s magazines where they had a still shot of these tail slides. They were always labeled fakie Ollie to backside tail slide but gradually the ‘to’ fell away.

I honestly think your both kinda right and wrong, If he was going the other way this would be a FS noseblunt as he approaches front side and lands on what would now be his nose. However for some reason this is not how naming a a fakie trick into a slide works. case in point This trick tip [VIDEO] on the berrics for a fakie backie lipslide where he clearly approaches frontside. For this reason i think Cole would call this a Fakie back noseblunt because once your in the slide thats what it feels like.

What you just said is completely wrong and makes absolutely no sense [VIDEO] [VIDEO] Don't you have anything better to do than spitting out nonsense on the internet? Why don't you try learning how to ollie? I bet you are just a poser and don't even skate

[VIDEO]_ [VIDEO] [VIDEO] [VIDEO] [VIDEO] [VIDEO] Gets to the point if you're the only one calling it that then maybe your wrong. For extra curriculum, the last one is the berrics trickopedia of a fakie back lip , to show it goes for other tricks as well
