Trailer for Thrashin', a 1986 Los Angeles skate movie about rival crews and a vert contest called the LA Massacre. Tony Alva is among the skaters, with Devo and Red Hot Chili Peppers on the soundtrack.
Why skaters like it
Skaters point newcomers to the film as a cult 80s skate movie. One commenter says to find a VCR and watch it if you don't know a Bird from a Gorilla Rib.
“You win the LA Massacre, and you'll skate for Smash Skates.”
