Edit of the 1031 Skateboards and Landshark Wheels parking block contest at Bull Taco in Oceanside, CA, 2013. One rule: board or body must touch the block. First place paid $500, and The Flytraps played live.
Why skaters like it
Shared as an example of a simple, fun jam: one parking block, one rule, cash prize. Gets posted when people talk about running a local slappy session.
“Nothing like a big session on a curb or parking block. Landshark Wheels put on a few contests last year with a single block in the middle of a parking lot and a $500 prize, which is pretty awesome.”
