Mullen may have invented all the tricks but Gonz, Natas And Guerrero were the guys that invented street skateboarding. Mullen only kickflipped stationary initially. Gonz was the first guy to kickflip gaps, he and Natas were also the first guys to grind handrails. Also here's Grosso's Loveletters to skateboarding on the subject [VIDEO].

That is some cool old school footage, looks like the old Benica spot at 5:54 [VIDEO]. Say what you will but I have to agree with Jeff here in that gonz and natas were absolutely huge in the formation of street skating, much more so than mullen. Although that doesn't take away the flat ground aspect to the tricks mullen was doing, he is still influential in a lot of the flip tricks we see today. Honestly if your as co

Rodney Mullen inventing "street" skateboarding and all of us gobbled that shit up in the 2000s. Freestyle conspiracy [VIDEO]

He's done a lot but it's not as cool when his achievements are self-proclaimed [VIDEO] Edit: If I saw even two posts of someone skating pre 90s in this sub for every 10 Mullen posts I see I would have no issues. I just don't understand the obsession with Mullen when everyone else of that era goes under appreciated. I'm not old but can still name so many old skaters with 80s 90s parts that would actually get me hyped
